Energy Transfer Partners is attempting to double the capacity of the Dakota Access Pipeline in Illinois by building 3 pumping stations along the pipeline route.
The oil transport capacity would double from 570,000 to 1.1 million barrels a day.
This is an environmental travesty and a move against the Indigneous groups fighting the pipeline and protecting their land.
Doubling the pipeline is the equivalent of 15 new 1000 MW coal plants.
There will be an evidentiary hearing at the Illinois Commerce Commission office in Chicago on Dec. 3 and 4th at 10 a.m.

Illinois commerce commissioners will be looking at evidence from the company and the opposition to the DAPL double in order to make a decision.
