The Illinois EPA is holding a listening session from 2 pm - 4 pm and 6 pm - 8 pm on October 9th to take input on a new coal ash rule.
The Coal Ash Pollution Prevention Act directed the Illinois EPA to draft rules for regulating coal ash. We need to tell Illinois EPA to draft strong rules to protect communities from coal ash pollution. They need to hear YOUR voice so they know why this matters in YOUR community.
More information to come.
In addition to this hearing, the Illinois EPA is holding five other hearings across the state and a webinar to solicit public input. Find out more here: https://illinoiscoalash.org/public-hearings/
