Join us for our FIRST general election postcard party! Following up on a successful postcard campaign during primary season, the Coalition for a Better Illinois 6th now plans to send 100,000 postcards to voters before the general election, to be written by groups like ours during the summer and early fall. Target voters are those who share our values but who did not vote in 2014, the last midterm election. Just like we did during the primary election postcard campaign, we will write a nonpartisan message that encourages the voters to make a plan and then GET OUT AND VOTE in this very important election! We'll provide the postcards, pens, addresses and some of the stamps (and would welcome donations of more stamps). Bring your writing fingers, your enthusiasm, and - if you want - your creativity; some people chose to decorate the postcards we sent before the primary, for extra impact. We'll be doing this at least a couple more times during the next few months. Let's kick it off right with a great turnout like we had in the spring! See you on Saturday!
